Liberated Black Futures - Session 4

This time we’re imaging what families that sustain and encourage look like.

Whether we like or not, family informs/shapes who we are. What if our families could be our first opportunity to dream collaboratively? What if we all had the opportunities to be born into homes that could teach us unconditional love and support us and our dreams at inception? Family doesn’t necessarily mean the one we are born into, it is something that we shape for ourselves.

A collective future envisioning exercise for the Black community.

Queer Black Futures

A creative writing workshop exploring the possibilities of queer afrofuturism.

There are queer black people in the future! This workshop is an exercise in stretching the imagination: what can queer black life look like five years from now? Tomorrow? What if in the future we have what we want?
